    JaVA Takes ‘Cool Volley’ Campaign to Trelawny

    The approximately thirty (30) children who participated in the one-day clinic showed great enthusiasm and aptitude for volleyball. Coach Steve Davis was not surprised that although a large percentage of the children were being introduced to volleyball for the first time they caught on very quickly. “Jamaican children are very athletic and intelligent. They only need good instructions and they will apply themselves,” said Davis. Davis further stated that the enthusiasm of the children was characteristic of the other children who were introduced to volleyball when JaVA launched its inaugural Primary/Prep School Volleyball Programme during the 2010/2011 academic year.
